Great opportunity to work for an industry leading retirement services company. The successful candidate will prepare retirement plan documents under our client’s institutional offering.
This is a 100% remote contract position.
Job Responsibilities:
Prepare and deliver prototype and volume submitter plan documents for client retirement plans while adhering to established timeframes.
- Document preparation often will be completed through review and mapping of a client’s prior plan document. There may be additional plan documents offered by the company which fall outside of the IRS pre-approval programs.
- Discuss any routine plan document related issues with Relationship Managers, Client Services Consultants, or institutional clients.
- Offer suggestions to address non-supported plan provisions, or plan design improvements.
- Prepare and submit plan change requests in support of executed plan documents.
- May serve as SME and provide quality control reviews. Identify procedures, methodologies, and process improvements to enhance growing business unit (i.e.. Apply risk-based quality controls, use better tools/applications available, Project Management skills, and LEAN methodology).
- Participate in layered review of work product and provide feedback related to work product. \Apply technology to ensure successful and timely delivery of work product.
- Must have ability to clearly understand legal documents.
- Interact with Institutional Clients and their Legal representatives, A&O, IR, Operations, product and senior leadership– especially as it pertains to the on boarding of new retirement plans and contracted services for existing clients.
- Utilize appropriate verbal and written communication techniques in a professional manner.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and work experience of 2+ years in the retirement space.
- 5+ years of working for a defined contribution retirement plan service provider in retirement plan administration.
- Experience with 403b and 457 retirement plan documents
Preferred Qualifications:
- Industry designations (i.e., CEBS or ASPPA) a plus.
- Excellent communication skills (both oral and written).
- Ability to work independently as well as develop strong relationships and collaborate with internal and external business partners and clients.
